I acquired the domain maheshonline.com

Ever since I started Minterest I had plans to start a personal blog so as to express my ideas and views. I was searching for a domain name for this purpose and I searched 100s of domains and didn’t get one. Out of curiosity I have visited the domain maheshonline.com to see what in it but I find that the domain is for sale. The domain was parked by Sedo but the asking price was not mentioned so I guessed it would be US$500+ I simply checked the WhoIs records of the domain and expressed my interest in the domain. The domain was managed by DNForum and unexpectedly I got a response within minutes. The seller didn’t specified his asking price and instead he asked me to bid. I told him that as the domain is not keyword rich or a popular one its not worth over US$100. Hence he asked US$100 and I offered US$75 luckily he agreed and I initiated the payment immediately via PayPal. Wow it was a great deal and I acquired the domain name in one hour. My first ever acquisition. After acquiring the domain I was again surprised to see that the asking price of this domain was US$400 earlier (I discovered that using Google’s cache of this domain). The seller then removed that asking price from the parked page. It was a great deal for me.
